Poetry: Inconvenient Summer Shower

Pitter-patter, the pouring summer shower

Some are glad, sure, but some are sour

Falling diamonds, water pooling on cement

Does this rain fall on a day most inconvenient?

℘

Prayerful, patient – the watching fruitless farmer

Asks where the rain went, to the Lord, his God n’ Father

The seed’s been planted, waiting is the hardest,

“I need the rain Lord, or else there’ll be no harvest.”

℘

Pitter-patter, the pouring summer shower

As if days were but schedules due to flower

Offer thanks instead, cast aside your grievance

Remember God provides, sometimes by inconvenience
